My name is Wes Bailey, and my passion is to help hurting people. My undergraduate degree is from Midwestern State University and has an emphasis in counseling, psychology, and biology. I have a Master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University in Counseling. I have experience as a practicum student counseling at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth and Northwood Church in Keller. Additionally, I have also been studying biblical counseling for 14 plus years outside of my higher education. Furthermore, I have spent many years working in public schools and youth ministries educating students of all ages. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Lelek, LPC-S, our agency’s president.

Real Encouragement

I want you to know that in your trial that Jesus is bigger than your hurt; He is bigger than your pain. Christ has a plan to help you move from grief to joy in himself. The beauty of the gospel is that Christ is running after you in order make restoration of your relationship with him, your marriage, disorders, addictions, and all other issues. Additionally, God is the greatest comfort available for those dealing with loss, grief, or trauma. My desire as a counselor is to meet you where you are, and help enable you through Christ’s power and truth to experience hope, joy, healing, and change in your unique situation to the glory of God.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Real Hope, Real Change

The Bible, the power of the Holy Spirit, talking with another mature believer, and applying God’s truth in meaningful ways are some of the resources that allow for real Christ-like heart change in areas of brokenness. I will lead you through the Christ-centered counseling process in a caring and up-front manner that removes the fear and confusion about counseling, and help apply God’s truth in a practical manner in your everyday life. But for those who have not trusted in Christ I would like to discuss, in a gentle manner, what it means to have a relationship with Christ.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...
Hebrews 4:12

Real Comfort

Counseling may be ineffective if it does not get to the true spiritual roots of the issue that lie within the human heart or lead to the real comfort of our savior who deeply desires to sit with people in their pain. My desire is to walk with hurting people, and help carry their burden. I am passionate about helping people move closer to Christ in their brokenness, and into a new life filled with his meaning, freedom, forgiveness, and comforting presence.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13

Personal Areas of Interest

My areas of interest include: marriage, pre-marital, men’s issues, parenting, children and teenage behavior, anger, addiction (sexual and other), anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, death, trauma, anger with God, homosexuality, sexual abuse, stress, work related struggles and career guidance, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain disorders, psychosomatic illnesses, environmental illness, all forms of mental illness and disorder, and chronic pain and headaches.

This is not an exhaustive list, but merely an idea of things that we can work on together. No matter what the issue is that you are dealing with please come and allow me to talk with you about it, you don’t have to deal with it alone.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
