Many people choose a counselor based on whether or not he or she receives insurance. While considering budgetary demands is important, insurance is not necessarily the best indicator of who one should choose as a counselor.
Counseling can be one of the most important decisions you ever make for yourself. As such, you want to make sure you choose a counselor who is qualified. If you are a Christian, one of the most important qualifications to consider is does the counselor actually know how to apply Scripture to the issues with which you are struggling. A very unique component about Metroplex Counseling is that our counselors are proficient in utilizing the Bible as the very basis of our work. The title “Christian Counseling” is a broad one that may often include ideas and philosophies that are not compatible with Scriptural truth. One of the unique distinctions of Metroplex Counseling lies in the fact that we work diligently to apply God’s Word effectively and compassionately to the needs of counselees. This does not mean that the Bible will be used superficially or self-righteously. On the contrary, our counselors have been trained to use the Bible as the means to understanding the human psyche (or soul) at a level that seeks to reach the very depths of the human heart.
