All counselors at Metroplex Counseling are either licensed, working towards their license, or completing graduate school education in order to earn an advanced counseling degree. While we esteem the importance of education, we also recognize that in order to offer effective counsel from the Bible, counselors must be adequately trained to do so. Most universities, seminaries, and colleges do not offer in-depth courses in this regard (this would include those institutions of higher learning built upon Christian doctrine), therefore the aim of Metroplex Counseling is to equip our counselors with the knowledge and skills to provide quality care profoundly shaped by the truths of Scripture.

Metroplex Counseling holds to the idea that the Bible is superior and sufficient in its understanding of the human psyche (soul or heart). We recognize that most (if not all) theoretical ideas developed in counseling and psychology were conceived within a framework that did not embrace Christian values and absolutes. Rather than build our methodologies on secular models, Metroplex Counseling seeks to offer solutions centered in the truths of the Bible.
